Webinar series – Automotive & Mobility sector

Power Electronics Week

6th-9th July 2020

Dear colleagues,

The two sectors, Automotive and Electronics, have jointly decided to push a strong initiative for French leadership in power electronics.

A working group representing the two sectors submitted its recommendations on June 9 to the PFA’s technical committee, which decided to make it an official program and entrusted me with its management, with Gilles LE CALVEZ, a Valeo expert seconded to VEDECOM, as deputy director.

I am very pleased to invite you all to a Power Electronics “week” that will take place next week in the form of several “webinars”.

The principle is to share with all of you, who make up the French industrial and academic network concerned by these technologies, the stakes and perspectives, the challenges we will have to take up to be competitive and also to engage with you in the first stages of this program.

After a first introductory session on Monday 6 July 2020, to outline the main lines of the programme, 4 project leaders from among the industry leaders will present their projects and open a dialogue with all those of you who would like to contribute your skills, then a final webinar will be open to all those who wish to bring a project that could help build this French leadership.

To organise this Power Electronics Week, I would like to thank our friends from the competitiveness clusters, the SIA, FIEVand Acsiel for their valuable help in ensuring the success of the operation.

You will find in the different tabs of this page

Together with the SIA and the clusters, we have set up a committee of experts who will study all your proposals in order to evaluate them with a view to possible labelling and appropriate funding. The competitiveness clusters will be your privileged contacts to finalise your projects and find the relevant financing methods.

In addition, Gilles LE CALVEZ is preparing, in conjunction with the laboratories, another session that we will organise at the beginning of the autumn to structure pre-competitive actions so that they can support the construction of this leadership.

Finally, we are in close contact with the DGE, which supports this initiative and will accompany us in its implementation, and I would like to thank Julie GALLAND and Franck TARRIER for their strong expression of interest.

I am therefore expecting many of you for this Power Electronics Week.

Best regards,

Rémi BASTIEN
